CHARLESTON -- As another work week begins in Appalachia coal fields the Chinese are wanting to know more about coal operations in the Mountain State.
Monday Governor Joe Manchin will host a delegation of Chinese officials interested in expanding their relationship with West Virginia.
The ten person delegation if from the Shanxi province, which a coal-rich area of the country. This marks the third time representatives from the province have met with officials from West Virginia.
The topics this time around will expand on coal mine safety, clean coal technology and expanding cooperative efforts.
Last November Governor Manchin went on trade mission to China and we're told that Monday's visit is the result of that.
We'll have more on the delegation's visit on 13 News.
