I got interested in Acadian a while back. (A few years ago actually when they were going to use the mill in the gold fields.) Lawrence Rouston has covered it for that same length of time. What I like about the properties he covers is that he looks at the business aspect of it. He looks at management, the resource and all that stuff. So part of your DD is done right there.
I also like the fact that it is Canadian and it is in our own back yard so to speak. Removes some of the dangerous areas of the world from affecting things.
I also like the fact that they are working out alot of the start up problems that face any new mine and they are still around. The share has good volume which is an additional plus.
Lastly, I have always liked the development side of this company. To think that a minor part of the company has become the major bread winner of it. The gold fields are not even priced into this share and they are the real gem and add to it Royal Roads and Buchans are adding a little interest down the road. So this company does not depend on just its lead and Zinc, there is more to come and what great resources to feed into all properties.
That is why I like Acadian.
