ATAC, per press release of 7/7/09, announced an intercept of 28 meters of 24 g/t gold at its Rau Project in the Keno Hill area of central Yukon, 55 km northeast of Keno City. This is part of the Tintina Gold Belt which sweeps across central Alaska and into the Yukon and B.C., and is home to many large historic gold mines.
Per press release of 8/11/09, the company announced the results of 4 separate drill holes as follows:
Rau-09-23 -- 16.76 m averaging 15.64 g/t gold
Rau-09-27 -- 54.60 m averaging 3.16 g/t gold
Rau-09-31 -- 65.51 m averaging 2.13 g/t gold
Rau-09-34 -- 39.73 m averaging 3.74 g/t gold
In press release of 9/23/09, ATAC announced the following drill results from step-out holes to the previous drilling:
23.01 g/t Au over 20.67 m in hole 09-41
11.01 g/t Au over 23.48 m in hole 09-46
4.08 g/t Au over 51.31 m in hole 09-36
Per press release of 11/3/09, the best intercept (among many), was Rau-09-66 which intercepted 5.11 g/t gold over 70.8 meters, beginning at 7 meters below surface.
These are all excellent results. Consequently, the price of ATAC has gone from 47 cents in mid September of 2009, to around $1.40 presently.
The 2009 drilling program began in June, and I expect the same will be true for 2010. The company, earlier this month, announced their drill plans for 2010 will consist of 18,000 meters of drilling with the use of 4 drills (with another drill kept in reserve).
