Canadian junior unveils 100,000-acre position in emerging light-oil play in central Alberta

Canadian junior Raging River Exploration has unveiled a new position in the emerging Duvernay shale play in central Alberta as the company expands its area of focus.

Raging River said it has been accumulating land over the last year and now holds around 100,000 acres prospective for light oil in the Duvernay.

The company described the Duvernay play as "in its infancy" but one with characteristics including relatively shallow depths of less than 3000 metres, contiguous net pay and large
