As you know the market has been on a tear as of late. Many are jumping for joy now that the NASDAQ is approaching 5000. We are hearing that this is not like 1999 and stocks are much cheaper. Actually, by many measure the average stock is MORE EXPENSIVE now than 1999.

However, for this video I want to stick to pure price action. The Markets have not had a major correction since late 2011. This is what my friend Mike Swanson calls "The Stairway to Heaven". The problem is a very dangerous pattern. Whenever you get 3-4 year periods where the markets double or triple in value with no correction it almost always ends in a vicious bear market. And markets go down faster than they go down. It is a slow stairway up, but a Elevator down.
