If I were and American citizen not well capitalized and thinking that Social Security was going to at least provide me some food stamps so I could buy pet food to live off of would be very scared.

Notice the redemptions are for much higher rates of interest and the acquisitions are for much lower rates ....

If you ask me that would mean there will be less in that fund in order to be able to sell the paper now ... of course if the country could afford to pay higher interest it would be different, but this is an obvious act of deperation to create demand for worthless paper ... unless of course we could all be certain of massive deflation in the future ... Oh wait ... that was the cause of the great depression ...
