Back in the day when I was a floor trader we hand wrote all our trades and handed the slips to "the girls" who processed them through NCR data processors onto large cardboard ledgers, Trading instructions came by phone or by Telex (teletype) and there was just one computor in the shop that was only capable of doing currency conversions. Those were the days!
