This is actually a good news story. If the price of corn soars they will stop wasting a good foodstuff on making sythetic fuel. And if there are massive farm failures it will possibly put a stop to massive farm aggregations to practice mono-cropping and allow a return to smaller farms with diversified and rotating crops

Don't pray for rain, pray for a kick in the teeth for corporate agriculture.
