Where are they getting these numbers from? You can't make those kind of projections based on only a few holes. I also recall that the majors explored this area in the 60's and 70's and passed. Granted the price of oil was much lower then, but how is it that they missed that much oil? Not saying it isn't there, but something about this just doesn't add up.

Remember how easily people were fooled by Bre-X? It wasn't until Freeport called their bluff that the whole thing unraveled. Is that what we're seeing here, or is this just sour grapes on my part because I sold too soon?

At any rate, people were wondering where all the money went that was chasing gold stocks. Perhaps we have our answer, no? So, is this a secular shift from mining to oil, led by this new discovery and driven by peak-oil spin? Starting to look that way, isn't it?
