We may not make much money, but we sure have a lot of fun!
Please remember that our ancestors didn't come over here and found this place so we could all be better.
Nope! They came over so that we all could do what we damned well pleased.
Does that include the right to peacefully assemble and petition the government for redress, or is that only for people you agree with? From the tone of that video, I'd say it was the latter.
So now we live in a society where it appears, the Truth can be adjusted.
OK, let's do a little "truth adjusting" here:
The Puritans were religious zealots who didn't agree with the liberal tendencies emerging in Europe. They objected to the separation of Church and State, and the application of Reason as opposed to Faith (Church Doctirne) in settling secular matters. Their first colony was based on communistic principles and they only resorted to indivdualism when communism failed and they had no other choice. Being able to do what they damn well pleased included torturing and killing innocent people for the so-called crime of witchcraft.
Other groups arrived for a variety of reasons: the fur trade, the potato famine, the enclosure acts and so forth, but doing what they damn well pleased was NOT at the top of their list. Escaping tyranny may have been, but try telling that to an African slave.
As for these present day faux libertarians like Bill Whittle, well, let's hear what Ayn Rand had to say about their religious convictions:

I have some bones to pick with Ayn, but on this point I'm in complete agreement.
I'm also pretty sure if she were alive today she'd be down there in Liberty Plaza shoulder to shoulder with OWS, because (porta-potties and free education aside) what THEY stand for is what SHE stood for: The fight against Tyranny.
