btw ebear ... its not fair to take a single comment re-Sprott's potentially self serving silver promotion. The body of information combined does more to support silver as a legitimate investment then the detraction of humanity on the moon. :)
Sure, I'd agree with that. I just used the moon as an example of the logical falacy in the 15 to 1 argument. That ratio may be true historically, but they didn't have vast open pit mines back then churning out by-product silver that's more of a nuisance than an actual product.
There's also an assumption that silver has to rise in price to close the gap, when in fact there are three other possibilities: gold falls in value, the two meet halfway (or thereabouts), or the gap never closes.
I suppose I shouldn't look a gift horse in the mouth though. I've made pretty good coin trading silver miners over the last few years. So, keep pounding that drum guys! Money in the bank...er... credit union <g>
