I think this piece is worth a fair bit. Nothing brand new and startling, but a clear exposition of Armstrong's line of thought. He is clever and insightful and I wouldn't just brush aside his message. IMHO, of course.

If I had only one question to ask M.A., it would be this: How is it that you managed to construct such a powerful analytical system without realizing the kind of negative attention it would draw?

By his own account, he stepped on some very powerful toes. So why on earth would he think they wouldn't run roughshod over him when he refused to play ball? That is, if his own account is to be believed. Personally, I would have bugged out - he had enough places to hide, enough people to protect him. There's more here than meets the eye, and although I agree with much of what he writes, much of it sounds self-serving. He wasn't exactly working for the betterment of mankind before he got swept up in the intrigue, so what sort of person is he at heart? Hard to tell from a distance, and I don't think I'd want to get close enough to find out.
