On Friday 1 million 700 thousand shares sold.1 million 386 thousand were insiders,so it says on website (www.tmxmoney.com).Look for NES insider trading.I guess that is a good thing.

Also read an article on how Goldcorp sold Anna Paula to Newstrike.I am confused at why they sold it to them.I know there has to be a good reason (money reason).

Knowing that there are a few NES holders on this site ,hoping they can shed some light on that.

This should help:

What you see here is fairly typical: Major does the initial work, bringing the project to a point where it's attractive to a junior, then offloads the balance of exploration and development cost onto a junior. Major then buys back (or buys in) if the junior proves up a viable resource. Junior gets a better kick at the cat (compared to greenfield exploration which carries higher risk) and major replaces reserves at a manageable cost. There are several other juniors in the area - I assume they're working to a similar model.

From an investor's point of view you have less risk, but also less chance of hitting one out of the park. Personally, I like this sort of play compared to following a dozen or more penny stocks in the hope of hitting it big. I think more money is made over the long term by taking the lower risk plays like NES. You still have to do the research, but it's easier to figure out what's going on - you have better data to work with and management is typically higher quality.

One thing I've noticed, which gets a small mention in the above interview. Gold explorers in Mexico aren't getting much traction right now compared to say the Yukon. That's a herd thing - you can make money if you're quick - but attention can turn on a dime, especially if someone makes a big discovery somewhere else. Again, I'd rather buy the overlooked play than the one everybody's raving about.
