This is self-descriptive I think. It happens when your brother in law has a nicer home, bigger boat, classier threads etc, and your sister wears that all too familiar smirk every time she pulls into your pot-holed driveway in her brand new beamer convertible.

The basic animal response is "if he can do it. so can I, goddammit!" Stocks, real estate, gold, silver... whatever made brother-in-law rich is what this sucker piles into - way overweight and right at the top. Silver coins getting scarce, you say? Talk to your brother in law. I bet he's got a nice collection he's willing to part with - at the right price of course.
