The size of the market may have something to do with it. Silver is tiny compared to oil, soybeans, even coffee. It's like rolling a snowball down a steep hill. Speculators love that kind of action and pile on. How else would you rein them in?

They are losing control and can't deliver so they need some longs to puke out their holdings to cause a waterfall effect so they will be able to cover.

Cover what? It's a cash market. You don't seriously think these specs are going to stand for delivery do you? All that money tied up for weeks, maybe months? And then what? Collect your silver and hope JPM goes poof? Who do you think lent them the money in the first place?

They hit the price as Osama is killed and the talking heads say the world is a safer place and voila, silver price is hit.

Have you seen $USD lately? That's what they're defending. Silver is just a sideshow.

Silver bugs! Not only do they fight the Fed, but they do it in the futures market!
