We may not make much money, but we sure have a lot of fun!
I really don't know what you're driving at here. Are you saying I should stop doing fundamental research and just chase momentum? You've heard the expression "a rising tide lifts all boats" no? Well, in this market that's true in spades, so I really don't put much faith in screens or reposts that are in the public domain. Sure those stocks will run if everyone's chasing them, but they'll drop just as fast at the first sign of trouble. Likewise I don't put much faith in company promotions. It's very easy to spin a story and get some momentum going. We see this all the time - saw it right here on Agoracom, if you recall.
From time to time I post my own rec's - something I've done the homework on and feel confident mentioning here. The goal is to get critical feedback from others who also do fundamental research, and in exchange I provide the same. Quid pro quo.
I don't post stuff I've paid for, because I don't consider that ethical. If I like a particular analyst I'll mention that name and let people decide on their own if they want to pony up. Most of my investments come from these sources, which is why you don't see me posting a lot of rec's.
OTOH if you want to chase this stuff, then by all means, knock yourself out.
Watch in Future for HNL, ICO-N, ML, MRI.U, PTEN, LDK, PWER, SDG.UN. ARG, DC.A,, PLAB, AXR, EXF, FRC >>Buy Lots, PML, EDR, GPR, and you'll make money.
You've got 17 picks up there with no reference to where they came from, so I can only assume it's a momo screen. Personally speaking, there aren't enough hours in a day to research all that, and by the time I do have a handle on them, they've moved out of range. Such is the nature of momo.
Maybe others find it useful - I don't. But please note: I've never criticized anyone for taking that approach. So how about returning the favor?
