We may not make much money, but we sure have a lot of fun!
Gold/Silver are in secular bulls and bullion, majors and junior producers (esp very short term) and explorers (mid term) will do well. DO NOT get caught in a margin trap ... liquidity will be your best friend ... when the market has the serious setback that it deserves based upon fundamentals, everything will be caught in the downdraft ... but some things will be less negatively affected and recover more quickly.
Gold and silver will get caught in the downdraft, but not as hard as the major producers, who will be better than minor producers who will be better than explorers. Liquidity provides the opportunity to buy bargains, of which there are currently very few.
Some ineteresting plays -
Pelangio - PX - they spun off their detour gold site maintaining 50% of the company while other investors are developing the mine. That capital has been well employed in Ghana (Obuasi development) and they have recently found some more potential quality land - It appears these people know how to find gold and build from there.
Orvana -ORV - with 1 producing mine, and two about to come on board (1 gold, 1 copper) ... they have demonstrated wise use of a massive cash build up a couple years ago, and have diversified away from the Bolivia risk and seem well able to successfully extract proven resourse.
First Majestic Silver - FR - they have had a tremendous run that coincides with the rapid rise in silver ... they remain undervalued as they continue to increase production and reduce avg cost per ounce. With silver likely to outperform gold and few pure and growing silver plays - this is the best but Couer is making a solid comeback and will increase production next year.
Micros I own for a variety of reasons ape, crj, cmc, esk, gwa, nwm, sgf, sqi, vgm.
CXX (uranium) is correcting and I have sold off my position temporarily ... high .20s and low .30s is a very good entry point.
CYM - is a producer of stabilized aluminum foam ... potential for applications for IED risk minimization (without dramatic weight increases) for military vehicles. Also recently signed a deal to supply Alusion (structural cladding) as part of the 9/11 memorial site.
