We may not make much money, but we sure have a lot of fun!
When living in a country all or most of your life you've build social strings that amount to to the best type of resources you will ever need in dire times . That's your real wealth . The knowledge you posess regarding the social institutions where you live becomes another line of defense you can have access to relatively quickly if and when needed . If bad things come to worst regarding the type of events you fear will happen , then you'll be standing alone with whatever financial resources you have access to in a country where you are new and isolated . In bad times this could only make you stand as a target and possible victim . Sometimes the best thing in order to face danger is to make your stand and there's no better place then home to do so . That's where you know where the danger has the most probabilities to come from and where your escape routes are . And you know those routes can lead you to some precious allies .
