The company is also highlighting collaborations of media processing chipsets, professional 3D processingand infrastructure products, digital cinema solutions, 3DTVs, gamingsystems, and PC-based video player solutions for the consumer market.

SENSIO delivers high-fidelity 3D video over conventional 2D broadcastnetworks (cable, satellite, and IPTV), allowing playback on any 3Ddisplay device, including home theater and digital cinema projectors.SENSIO has pioneered 3D delivery in the home theater market since itsintroduction of the first high-end home theater 3D video processor atCES 2003. This year, at the 3D Entertainment Summit, the company isfeaturing technology integration and partnerships targeted at 3D in thehome.

GEO Semiconductor has licensed the SENSIO 3D Encoder Core for the GEORealta T2 chip used worldwide in leading broadcast and media systems.The GEO Realta Platform is the only chipset platform that enables fullcompliance with the “HQV (Hollywood Quality Video) powered by Teranex”industry benchmark. SENSIO 3D technology is also being integrated byTrident Microsystems into its TV550 3D TV system-on-chip (SoC) and otherchips designed for 3DTVs, and has been selected for the new line ofVizio 3DTVs.

Compatible with leading HD satellite broadcast and on-demand systems,content encoded in the SENSIO 3D format is viewable via standard HDset-top boxes and on the growing number of 3DTVs coming to market.

SENSIO’s LaBerge Featured in 3D Ecosystem Panel at 3D Entertainment Summit

Richard LaBerge, EVP and CMO at SENSIO, will participate in thefeatured panel session “The FUTURE Drivers in the 3D Ecosystem” at the3D Entertainment Summit at the Hilton Los Angeles in Universal City, CA.

Scheduled for 4:30 p.m. on Sept. 16, the session will address therapidly changing entertainment landscape and discuss how newtechnologies will determine the winners in this ecosystem. Topics willinclude the morphing of distribution, production, creative, andmarketing; the sectors from which new innovation will spring; and howexisting entertainment products may be vulnerable to obsolescence.

A founder of SENSIO, LaBerge has worked for Mouvement Desjardins, thelargest association of credit unions in North America, and served asexecutive vice president of SAJE, a Montreal-based non-profit incubationgroup. He holds an MBA jointly from l’École des Hautes ÉtudesCommerciales – HEC (University of Montreal) and the University of NorthCarolina at Chapel Hill in finance and international management.
