Troymet to Drill on Key Project

COMOX, BRITISH COLUMBIA, Apr 13, 2010 (Marketwire via COMTEX News Network) --

Troymet Exploration Corp. (TSX VENTURE:TYE) ("Troymet" or the "Company") is pleased to update plans for the Company's 100% owned Key property, located 125 km southwest of Vanderhoof, British Columbia. The 7,882-ha Key project is strategically located and the Company believes this greenfield area offers the potential for both precious metals and volcanogenic massive sulphide (VMS) discoveries.

The area surrounding the Key project has become a focus of precious metals exploration and claim staking (see www.troymet.com/i/maps/key_claims.jpg).

The Key property adjoins the claims (approximately 1,820 ha) on the Blackwater project where Richfield Ventures Corp. has identified a bulk gold deposit (September 25, 2009 news release).

Richfield (RVC) states the mineralization has demonstrated continuity over hundreds of metres at potentially mineable grades (100-200 m thick covering 45 ha). Richfield plans a major drilling program in 2010 to define a NI 43-101 compliant resource (March 30, 2010 news release).

Silver Quest Resources Ltd. (SQI) controls the adjoining 3T's project (approximately 2,858 ha) and the Capoose project (approximately 15,754 ha) located approximately 10 km to the northwest.

Other companies with claims in the area include Gold Reach Resources Ltd. and Amarc Resources Ltd.
