WTM Announces Record and Voting Dates for Proposed Business Combination Arrangement With Lake Shore Gold

Purpose: To consider and vote on the proposed Business Combination with Lake Shore Gold by way of a plan of arrangement

Shareholders of WTM at the close of business of September 29, 2009 (the "Record Date") will be entitled to attend and vote on the proposed plan of arrangement at the November 4, 2009 meeting. It is anticipated that a circular detailing the proposed transactions will be mailed to all shareholders on or about October 5, 2009.
