We may not make much money, but we sure have a lot of fun!
Well, I didn't really go anywhere - just been too busy moving house to do anything else. It didn't help that we had to do it in the midst of a major heat wave - 35 degrees with near 100% humidity. Some of you may laugh, but that's unusual for Vancouver. I have to go back to Ottawa days to find anything comparable, but in reality it felt more like Bangkok. Of course now that I have some time off the temperature has dropped and the rain and overcast that's typical of this time of year is here, right on schedule.
Anyway... many thanks to people who sent me articles and bear pics over the last few weeks. You can never have enough bears, I always say. I'll start catching up on the posts over the next few days, but for now, big ups to Buckshot for his last two calls. You ought to write your own newsletter Buck... I'd definitely sign up.
Being away from the markets for a while can really clear your head. Right now I don't know the price of anything and I don't really care. I figure I'll find out soon enough. Meantime, I've been taking a longer view of things and reading the occasional article along those lines - just kind of stepping back to get some sense of where things are headed over the next few years. I found one article on The Oil Drum that tweaked my interest and seems to confirm some of my own fuzzy thoughts on the subject. Here it is for your perusal, and again, thanks to everyone on the 300 for making this a really great group!
