Nuclear Cleanup Awards Eyed ( Washington Post )

I've said a few times here how i feel about the Nuclear industry and the danger it represents , and i know many don't appreciate that talk , having read other post supporting that industry's sale's . But here's an article from the Washington post that i think u should read to put things in perspective about the safety and the cost affecting the use of nuclear material be it for the industry or armement .

I will also add that over the week end i saw part of a report on CNN about the government program to transfer industry's nuclear waste to a special built site in Nevada . The program goes back many years ago to the 70's or 80's i don't remember and untill now none of the wastes have been transfer and Nevada's governor or senator absolutely oppose the transfer while the industry threatens to sue the govt. while costs have been soaring through the roof of course .

Well who could blame people from Nevada ? isn't it strange that nobody wants nuclear waste in it's backyard ???? when it's so safe !!!!

Remember that fissile materials half life last hundreds of thousands of years and put that in perspective with the problems we already exerienced over the last 70 years of use and development .

Cited for errors, firms hired to clean up nuclear waste get new funding via the stimulus package.
