The power we can not underestimate is

How desperately people cling to hope ... North Americans have it so good for so long they have been able to allow others to do the thinking for them. Basic survival skills are gone, even basic budgetting skills are gone ... people have gotten so lazy in the land of milk and honey, that they are not just unwilling to deal with reality, they are also unable to do so.

From the time I entered the work force decades ago until today I have learned how little effort it takes to be satisfactory. How so little was expected ... I didn't grow up hungry, or disadvantaged, but I was no senators son.

I did however grow up in what became one of the poorest part of the poorest large city in Canada. I saw abuse and unhappiness as a child but never experienced it. I was lucky and was taught to work hard.

Compare that to the life people face in other countries where through no fault of their own they are in abject poverty and kids die without parents and only the truly strong survive. Consider those who would lie in front of tanks because of their hunger for justice

Now consider what globalization will do to North America ... Meredith Whitney is a moderate in how negatively she (yes it is a she) speaks .... anyone who isn't ready to jump on the bandwagon is going to be trounced in the short term ... That is truly what is meant by "market sentiment".

Sadly it is based on false hope created through the bamboozlement of government ... I will probably not be alive when the worst of this hits ... if I am ... I will be lying down in front of tanks.
