Go to google images and punch in Tata trucks - you'll see a whole variety of them down through the years, many with fancy art work and custom additions. The extended cab over design is a big part of their appeal. You can put extra cargo (or passenger space) on the cab roof, but most important, you have a place to sleep so you can team drive. And as you saw in the video, you can even take your wife along with you...heh.
