forgive me for pumping my silver company again, but today silver standard announced that they found another 14 million ounces of gold at their snowfield project in british columbia. this brings the total to 18.6 million ounces (with 55 million oz of silver and 2 billion pounds of copper.) this is a low-grade bulk tonnage deposit, but even using a 1g/ton cut off they still have 5 million ounces of gold.

the stock is only up about 20 cents today, and even though it has had a big run up since october, the market cap is still only us$1.2 billion. this is a company that is loaded with cash, is about to become a mid-tier silver producer (10 million ounces/year) and has silver resources of 1.7 billion ounces, and now a gold resource of nearly 19 million ounces in relatively safe political jurisdictions.
