Clavis,

Lithium is being hyped right now for batteries, but this article is correct about the problems being encountered with that type....

But new technology is coming about new materials and better batteries for the mass of new hybrid cars that are soon to appear.

One of the metals that are being used in this new type include cobalt.... it is also used in high strength-high temperature metal alloys that are used to produce jet engine turbine blades...and now is found to be essential in the break down of water into hydrogen and oxygen...it is the catalyst in that action!

With hydrogen cars coming on line, as soon as the markets can work out how to produce and distribute hydrogen, cobalt stands poised to be a very strategic natural resource in the very near future...

One of my commodity plays is a pure cobalt mine located in, of all places, Idaho...when the mine is started later this year, it will be the only cobalt mine in the western hemisphere! and as such a very precious resource to have in these "tough times" in the world! I believe that the Congo is one of the only other rich cobalt area...and that is not a secure area of the World!

So, this mine in Idaho is owned by a Canadian mining company: Formation Corp. or symbol FCO.to or FCACF.pk...

Right now they have been beaten down sharply as has everything else...and I have been in the stock for over 2 1/2 years and this is the lowest that I have seen it...but the company is right now waiting on the final ROD news that will give them the right to start the mining operation....cobalt prices have risen over the last few years, and I feel that trend will continue strongly as the supply of this strategic metal becomes more limited by countries such as China and Russia

Just my thoughts, please follow up with your own D.D.

Best Regards,

Long for Cash
