It's nice to see so many familiar names here again.

Well Kinross finally took my ARU shares today and I have been "assimilated". I guess our "resistence was futile", albeit heroic. At least they pick a good day to convert me, gold stocks in general took off today. In spite of that my Kinross package combo only amounted to about 50% of my ARU investment cost.

Yes, I lost half of my money invested in ARU. Consider we all had dreams of at least a two fold or even a three or four fold return on our ARU investments...... Well that was a dream from a long time ago and far far away....

Back to reality. I share the grief that many of you experienced on margin calls. Frankly I was never brave enough to play the margin game. So I was at least saved from the October stock market meltdown. All it means is that all my money are now tie up in undervalued stocks and I have no liquidity at the moment.

Well enough of that. I hope that with so many fine investment minds here we can unearth some gems in the market again. Just hope we won't run into the same crooked management as the last bunch at ARU.

The one lesson I did learnt from that expereience - when insiders sell in droves make sure you beat them to the life boats first. Isn't hindsight always perfect!!
